Tropical Battery ships to 39 US states via Amazon as ATL takes Jour regional role
Tropical Battery Company, a Jamaican battery maker based in Kingston, says its new Amazon.com storefront has shipped products to buyers in more than 39 American states within its first weeks online. The company told RJR News that sales through the channel remain modest so far, but the geographic spread of the launch has outpaced its projections.
Tropical Battery said the move shows a Kingston-based firm can tap Amazon's fulfillment network to reach households and businesses across the United States, collect revenue in US dollars, and operate without a physical US presence. Amazon's logistics infrastructure is acting as its American distribution partner as it widens its customer base and builds the platform for longer-term growth.
ATL Automotive Group has been named regional master dealer for Jour Vehicles, deepening its ties with the Sherry Group. Under the arrangement, ATL's Caribbean hub will manage Jour sales and dealer support in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, St. Lucia, Belize, Grenada, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The appointment follows the recent introduction of the Jour brand in Guyana through CAM Motors, ATL's local dealer partner.
ATL Automotive currently works across 21 countries in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America, offering regional sales, technical services, training, marketing, and warranty support. Adding Jour further bolsters ATL's partnership with the Sherry Group, which also covers the Amoda and Jaku brands.
